It started many years ago when I came home from upstate New york, where I was living at the time, and I had only the long Labor Day weekend. I asked that this collection of people get together for the weekend in the cape, so I could spend time with everyone during my short visit. From that was born our annual Labor day weekend. This year, it couldn't happen right on Labor Day, so we did a little switch-a-roo.

Jay got in touch with me to buy a photo session for his wife, Maria, for Mother's Day. We all met up at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain for our session. It was the perfect spot for some natural shots!

Carriage House Violins is the home of the masters of violin, cello, viola and bow making, repair and sales. They just moved to a new location in Newton Upper Falls. It was such a great space to shoot in!
This past week end I got together with my friend Amanda and photographed her son, Noah, who turned two in February. I cannot believe how fast he's growing! Our backdrop was Salem and we had a great time basically following him around and shooting as he explored.
How cute is little one-year-old Aayan? Let me count the ways! I photographed Aayan six months ago (SEE HERE) and I was so excited when his happy parents contacted me to photograph him again at one year. He was such a good sport considering he was breathing like a mini-Darth Vader with his cold. Here are some favorites of mine!
I was thrilled to get a call from Sarah this year to photograph her and her family again. Such fun people! The children, Alex and Hannah, sent me home with a bag full of goodies - cookies and drawings and even a handmade dreidel magnet!Hannah came to me at the end of the session and asked that I read her a book about wheels. We got comfy on the nearest plushy chair and I read to her about wheels on cars and bikes and more. On one page was a bike race and there were spectators. Three of the spectators stood with cameras and one had it hanging down from his neck. I told Hannah, "Here's a photographer who will never get work because he's not taking any pictures and the action is just flying by him!"
Her parents laughed.
I was looking into the stats of my web page when I found that a few people who viewed my site came from THIS SITE. I was quite excited to see my work there. I think Creative Birth Doulas did a nice job designing their site (they had contacted me quite a while ago about using some of my pics) and I'm honored to have some work there!
