I got an email from the wife of a classmate of mine from good old Wakefield High weeks ago. Her in-laws had their heart on our beautiful Wakefield Common, and while I tried to talk them out of it because getting nice shots there can be trickier that one might think (people on the common, on the gazebo, poor light, too much green glow from trees, a dark gloomy lake), they wanted to give it a try anyway. We got a beautiful day for it and they were such a fun bunch to work with too!
I drove to Marshfield, MA for this session and I have to say that not withstanding the excessive wind, I really like the end result. The color was great and the interaction between Uncle Eric and his nephews were really nice. That wall was pretty cool, too, along with Moose the dog's profile.
Celene and Phil were married at Tower Hill Botanic Garden on a day in July which involved rain rain and more rain. It dampened nothing. While watching these two celebrate their marriage some things were made extremely clear;
A) They adore each other.
B) Everyone adores them.
The people in attendance were fun and friendly, seemed to have a wonderful time all night. They clearly had a great deal of love and respect for these two, and boy, they new how to dance!

Rich and Paula's pretty pretty wedding took place on a gorgeous day earlier this summer. Set in Salem, MA, the event was tennis themed (yes, you read that right!), as tennis is something the couple share a passion for. It was so nice to be called back to Paula's family after I photographed her sister's wedding a few years ago!

It's always a great thing when clients come back for more. I was so flattered to hear that Sandi enjoyed her family's session and the photos that resulted last year so much that she wanted to book another session this year. Hooray! This time we decided to check out Lynch Park in Beverly. We couldn't have asked for a better scenario; the temperature outside was just right and the light was perfect!
I love to see from year to year how the kids have grown, too. And have I mentioned how grateful I am to have so many awesome clients?
A few weeks ago I got an email from Amanda, whose boyfriend Billy was coming home from his military duties in Pensacola to spend the weekend with her for her birthday. She also wanted their picture taken together while he was home. That's where I come in. After lots of back and forth to figure out the best spot to meet at and have a photo session, we settled on Powissett Farm in Dover, MA. I was a little concerned that meeting there on a Sunday would result in crowds but to our surprise, it was completely quiet on the farm (who wouldn't want to spend their sunday visiting pigs?). Photographing these two was great fun and for a pair who claim to not be "touchy feely", the did a fine job during their session!
I had a shoot for work the other day in Copley Square. When the shoot completed I wandered the square for a bit, which was all a-buzz with activity. Great people-watching and pretty food and flowers to look at and photograph!
Amelia's family came to me from another client and I had such a nice time in their lovely, colorful home documenting Melissa's pregnancy and photographing little Amelia's fun personality! Amelia's mom and dad had such a lovely, laid back way about them. So nice to work with!
I have known CJ since he was three and I was twelve...and his babysitter. Cut to many years later and here I am shooting his wedding!
It was a beautiful event with lots of personal touches. CJ's sister Tori, who I also sat for, made one thousand paper cranes that were hung throughout. During the ceremony each of the guests held a stone which was then placed into a lovely open wood box for the couple to keep. The reception was held in a beautiful barn and at the end of the night a bonfire awaited.
