Quick! Before the Twins Arrive!

I have known Amy quite a while. She is the ever-capable head of Stoneham TV where my mom hosts the cable access show The Total Woman.

Amy and I had been talking about getting together to photograph her and her family before the arrival of her twins Luke and Josh. Fortunately, we made it just in time with a week or so to spare!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!!  I feel so lucky that we were able to go on a professional photo shoot with you!  This will be very special to show Luke and Josh someday...that they got their very own photo shoot!  I LOVE the shots of Nicolas and am happy to have proof of my belly since so many people can't believe I was pregnant with twins!

August and his Family

Cydney These are beautiful!!  Thank you so much for sending these so quickly.   We just love how everything turned out......even though August wasn't having a particularly 'smiley' afternoon, you captured such beautiful shots of him. I know we will cherish these photos of our little guy.   And, we are thrilled to see that you actually got a few family shots of the 4 of us.  :-)

I met Sonia and Chris about a year ago when I photographed them for their engagement. The year seemed to fly by and there I was at their wedding. It was a beautiful day with lots of color and laughter!

Aayan and his Parents!

If I was an immoral person and little five-month- old Aayan's parents were not such nice people, there is a distinct possibility that I would have stuck him in my back pocket and brought him home with me.

I mean, c'mon, could he BE cuter?

Nathan and Catherine

Nathan and Catherine were married at the beautiful Sharksmouth Estate in Manchester-by-the-Sea. A stunning location and a personal one for Nathan as his family is tied to the estate. Catherine had just celebrated her thirtieth birthday the day before, and friends and family came from all over, including England and Japan, to celebrate the union of these two.

Architecture

I took these architectural pictures over the past few months for my parents who are in interior design and architecture. It was my first foray into the world of a tilt-shift lens which is used to minimize the arching which often happens in the corners of photos when photographing a building or room. These are spaces my parents, Scott & Scott Architecture and Interior Design did.

Actually, I didn't use the special lens on this one.

Sarah's family

When I entered their home, Alex, came running around the corner, cracker in mouth, "Cydney! Are marble tracks your favorite thing in the world?!" I told him I didn't know but if he showed me one it may become my favorite thing in the world. At the end of our shoot, Alex let me play with it a bit; a tower of plastic tracks, tubes and spinning wheels that marbles pass through from the top. Very cool, and quite possibly my new favorite thing.

I had a great time this weekend wandering the South End with Sonia and her family. She lives with her sister int he city, but her parents came in form out of town for the Thanksgiving weekend and they hired me to come and photograph them altogether.

Candles on The TRee

Every year, my family hosts a holiday party during which we light real candles on our freshly cut Christmas tree. It is a very nice tradition. Some guests choose ornaments near a candle and if their candle is the last one to be blown out because it's at the very end of it's candling life, they get to make a wish.
It's fun. And pretty. So, today my Mom and I works to take some photos that would work on our invitations for the party.

Jason, Kimberley and Owen!

I am learning that the best advertising is word of mouth. Thanks to the Jacquie's dad, I received an email from Kimberley, who was looking to have photos done for the holidays with her husband Jason and their son Owen.

Kimberley came across Mystic River Reservation, and suggested we go their for photos. The variety of vistas - tall grasses and willow trees, benches and a tower, gave us many great places to snap some shots. Good thinking, Kim!

This is my favorite of the family shots.

I like the movement created in this shot by a slightly slower shutter speed.
