Matt's Maudsley State Park Senior Session

“I remember you photographing me flipping!” Matt recalled as we talked about how far back we go, “I think I could still do it” he mused. I advised against it, feeling that sending him home with a broken wrist would not reflect on me favorably.

I have been photographing Matt along with his family since he was a smaller human back in 2016.

His dad Hugh contacted me and Matt and I met in Newburyport for his session. We had a great time wandering around the beautiful park and even got to witness four deer grazing in the fields there. Matt’s a smarty-pants at Essex Tech, as was evident when he explained to me sciencey things that I am not able to reiterate.

May you do awesome things with you life, Matt!

Cassie Rocks her Rockport Senior Session!

Cassie is a beach girl, so when we were considering where to have her session, Rockport is where we landed on. We spent some time wandering the downtown there for some fun environmental portraits with the town’s colors and textures, then headed to the beach to shoot as began to set. It was great fun to see the light change in a matter of minutes and Cassie was a delight to work with!

Nadia's New England Botanical Garden Senior Session

I’ve known Nadia for quite a long time. I believe she was six years old when I first photographed her? Something like that. I’ve had the great privilege and delight of documenting her family over the years!

I was honored when her mom Heather got in touch to hire me again to capture Nadia as she enters her senior year of high school. So exciting! She had the lovely idea of having her session at the New England Botanical Gardens in Boylston. The challenge was we could only do the session at 3PM, because the gardens closed at 5. Why is this a challenge? Bright hot sun!

But with Heather’s help taking on the reflector, and Nadia ever-present energy to get the shot, we made a really nice collection together, I think.

I hope you have the best year ever, Nadia!

Lauren's Arlington Reservoir Senior Session

After recovering from the realization that Lauren is now a senior in high school and the child of a friend of mine from high school, (it’s not about you, Cydney!) we settled on a time and place and met up at Arlington Reservoir for a late afternoon session.

Lauren arrived with ideas, and we had a blast working together to find nice light and backdrops and poses that worked. And being a low-brass player (in high school, anyway) myself, I definitely appreciated their incorporation of their passion - music and writing!

Ashley's Graduating!

Ashley’s mom Kristen brought confetti. I mean, what more do you need than a pumped graduate-to-be and some confetti? Nothing, I say!

So much fun!

Congratulations, Ashley!
