Maeve is Here!

I had the great pleasure of doing a maternity shoot with Veronica a while back. Well, now the wait has ended and Maeve is here! Healthy and content and, I can tell, extremely smart.

Veronica (& Maeve too!)

You wouldn’t know to look at these photos that it was actually really cold out when I had this session with Veronica. She was such a trooper about it and I think she’s just adorable! I can’t wait to connect with her again once Maeve joins the world on the outside!

The G Family

The G family has expanded, so they gave me a call! I’m so glad they did. What a bright space and a bright family!

Lyla is Here, Folks!

Something exciting happened recently; it was safe enough for me to have a full photo shoot inside a home that was not mine or my parents! I only realized this after the fact, and it was then that I thought Oh, that’s why it felt a bit weird.

The family was not weird. They’re wonderful. In fact, I have worked with Mom’s sister quite a few times before, including photographing Lyla’s cousin Alexander a few years back.

When I arrive at the home of a newborn, I ask the parents if there are any special blankets they’d like incorporated into their photos. They received so many beautiful blankets! What to do?

We solved that challenge, I think!

How Could I Forget Violet?! {Boston newborn photography}

To be fair I haven’t forgotten Violet, it’s just that she’s probably old enough to vote by now (make good voting choices, Violet!)

I had a delightful time last year photographing Raymond , who is the first-born to high school classmate of mine, Alison, so I was very happy to hear from Allison again! This time, it’s a girl! Violet was a sweet little love to be sure, and photographing their growing family was something I really appreciate being given the opportunity to do.

On the wall in Alison and Ed’s home was the family photo I’d taken last year - I love seeing that! It’s not just because I took it (though that is a source of pride), but I always hope that my clients will get a chance to actually print their photos after going through all the scheduling and outfit choosing and primping for a session.

It makes me feel good to know that they are actually enjoying the fruits of our collective efforts!

• Zachary is in the Building! {boston newborn photographer} •

I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Matt's wedding a few years back and was pretty psyched to meet the newest member of their family. Zachary sure is a sweet little bug!

• End-of-Summer Wrap-Up! {Boston Portrait Photographer} •

It was a hectic summer for Cydney Scott Photography and I'm sure everyone can relate. I decided to do and end-of summer wrap-up post here, sharing the greatest hits of the tail end of summer which included a very foggy mini session day (as always my clients were completely on-board despite the odd weather pattern. I'm one lucky photog!), a session in western MA, another on the cape and even a session with some family members of my own! Fluffy dogs, bikes in dresses, and bubbles. What more could you need in life?

Bryce is Here! {boston newborn photographer}

Kristin and Benjamin found me years ago and hired me to shoot their engagement photos. Then, they hired me to shoot their wedding!  Then came Brayden! And then some time went by and I photographed everyone together.

And now Bryce is here! Yay for Bryce! And now Kristin and her three Bs are in a new home and lucky for me, it had big windows, lots of light, and a super chill, happy baby Bryce!  (click to enlarge)

•Where There's a Will, There's a Babe {Boston Newborn Photographer}•

A while back I photographed Jessica and Brendan's wedding, then a while after that I photographed their first baby, Jack, as a newborn. I'm puzzled as to why that session isn't on the blog somewhere but I assure you it has nothing to do with that kid's cute-factor. He was and is, adorbs.

A few years later, I get an email from Jessica, letting me know that Will has arrived! And now, you get to meet him, too. (click to enlarge)

•The W Family {Boston Family Photographer}•

Stephani found me through another client of mine and I'm so grateful she did! Her youngest was just coming up on one year, and I was to take some family shots and some portraits of her little gentleman.

Such beautiful, big eyes! (click to enlarge)

• Maddie and Her Little Sister Isabelle {Boston Family Photographer}•

I first met Maddie and her parents Jeff and Debbie years ago, when Maddie was just a bitty thing.

Now, Maddie is a big sister to Isabelle, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting her, and seeing Maddie and their parents again. Look at those baby blues!

•Clementine! {Boston baby photographer}•

Now that her adoption is official and her parents have shared her arrival, I can do the same!

What a happy little girl Miss Clementine is! And Sophie is such a sweet big sis. Welcome to the family, little one!

•Raymond's Here and He's The Cutest {Boston newborn photography}•

In this exceptional group shot, I am number 54 and Alison, Miss Super Tall 'n' Sassy, is sporting number 5.

Alison and I played basketball together for Wakefield Junior High (go Warriors!). She may never hire me again for sharing this photo, but I think we may have a similar sense of humor, so it should be fine (she types with her fingers crossed).

Far more interestingly and current, Alison is now a mom! Woot! I was flattered that she got in touch with me to photograph her little bug Raymond.

It was so nice to see her again, and meet and work with her family, and Raymond was as cute as can be and such a chill little dude.

• Fall Session Round-Up {boston portrait photographer} •

OK, I'll admit it; I'm putting on my lazy hat right now. Well, no, not really, but I am putting a collection of my favorite shots together from my sessions this season and sharing them with you all together, rather than doing multiple blog entries.

I attempted my annual fall session day before I left on vacation in October, but both the actually event day and it's rain date got cancelled due to stormy skies (shakes fifts at the heavens!). When I returned, I managed to schedule a second attempt, and my clients were excited to try again. Until it began to rain after I got only one session out of the way.

So, off to the second rain date we went (or does that make it the third? I don't know, I've lost track at this point). Some got their shots done on that sunday rain date, others went out of their way to meet me in the middle to get their sessions completed. I hope everyone loved their results!

Thanksgiving is coming, and I'm feeling thankful indeed.
