Some advice for your session;
Wearing your robe? Make sure it’s been taken out of the package well ahead of your session and be prepared to steam it or iron it (on a low heat!). Don’t have either appliances on hand? The next time you take a shower, make it a hot one and hang your robe in the bathroom, shutting the door. Sometimes that’s just enough steam to do the trick!
Is there a spot on campus - like a wall with your school’s name on it, a monument, or seal - that’s THE place to get your photo taken and you want that spot to be part of your session? Join the line for that photo opp and full HOUR before your session time starts. It will be a long wait, and you don’t want your session time eaten up by waiting in a line. So please get there early so I can simply join you, capture that moment, and continue on with your session!
If you have some special shoes you want to wear for your session, keep in mind that we may be walking a LOT during your session looking for fun spots and great backdrops. Consider bringing some comfy slip-on shoes to wear in between. Not sure if you need them? Bring them anyway. Better to be safe than sorry.
Consider props! They’re fun and can add movement and personality if you feel compelled, but please consider biodegradable confetti if you opt for some.
Think about locations in the area of your session that have meaning to you. Having a small list of places to visit to get your portrait taken in can make your results more personal. Don’t have thoughts on this? That’s OK! We’ll explore and find cool spots together.
I look forward to working with you soon!
Warmly,
Cydney
