It started many years ago when I came home from upstate New york, where I was living at the time, and I had only the long Labor Day weekend. I asked that this collection of people get together for the weekend in the cape, so I could spend time with everyone during my short visit. From that was born our annual Labor day weekend. This year, it couldn't happen right on Labor Day, so we did a little switch-a-roo.

Jay got in touch with me to buy a photo session for his wife, Maria, for Mother's Day. We all met up at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain for our session. It was the perfect spot for some natural shots!

An update of my friend, Christina's cuties!
This past week end I got together with my friend Amanda and photographed her son, Noah, who turned two in February. I cannot believe how fast he's growing! Our backdrop was Salem and we had a great time basically following him around and shooting as he explored.
How cute is little one-year-old Aayan? Let me count the ways! I photographed Aayan six months ago (SEE HERE) and I was so excited when his happy parents contacted me to photograph him again at one year. He was such a good sport considering he was breathing like a mini-Darth Vader with his cold. Here are some favorites of mine!
I was thrilled to get a call from Sarah this year to photograph her and her family again. Such fun people! The children, Alex and Hannah, sent me home with a bag full of goodies - cookies and drawings and even a handmade dreidel magnet!Hannah came to me at the end of the session and asked that I read her a book about wheels. We got comfy on the nearest plushy chair and I read to her about wheels on cars and bikes and more. On one page was a bike race and there were spectators. Three of the spectators stood with cameras and one had it hanging down from his neck. I told Hannah, "Here's a photographer who will never get work because he's not taking any pictures and the action is just flying by him!"
Her parents laughed.

Bennet's mom Sharon found my work and liked it. So she hired me to come to her place and photograph her little one with her and her husband, Jeff. They were such nice people and what a great home to take photos in! It was a photographer's dream to have such a nice location! And the subject was too cute to boot!

I have known Maureen for as long as I can remember. We grew-up together, our houses back to back. Our families became family and now, the family continues to grow and grow! I feel so priviledged to document it as it does so...
Petra got in contact with me a while ago. She and her husband Matt are celebrating their tenth anniversary and Petra wanted to commemorate it with some portraits. It took a while for us to make it happen! Our first attempt got rained out, the second didn't happen because of crossed wires, and finally, the third time was a charm!
Julie was visiting family locally from Louisiana and made a photo session appointment with me. These are some favorites form her session with her daughter, Sarah, who was not feeling too smiley til the end of the shoot. Who can blame her with out hot hot weather and the strange lady with the big black thing in front of her face!
