CJ and Amy!

I have known CJ since he was three and I was twelve...and his babysitter. Cut to many years later and here I am shooting his wedding!
It was a beautiful event with lots of personal touches. CJ's sister Tori, who I also sat for, made one thousand paper cranes that were hung throughout. During the ceremony each of the guests held a stone which was then placed into a lovely open wood box for the couple to keep. The reception was held in a beautiful barn and at the end of the night a bonfire awaited.

Nathan and Catherine

Nathan and Catherine were married at the beautiful Sharksmouth Estate in Manchester-by-the-Sea. A stunning location and a personal one for Nathan as his family is tied to the estate. Catherine had just celebrated her thirtieth birthday the day before, and friends and family came from all over, including England and Japan, to celebrate the union of these two.

Kate and Michael

This past Saturday, Kate and Michael were married at St. Anthony's Chapel in Goucester, MA. The beautiful reception that followed took place at Ocean View Inn, also in Goucester. The weather called for rain but it managed to stay away long enough for us to get some pretty shots by the ocean. Shooting this wedding for Michael and Kate was so much fun; a scenic location, happy and friendly guests, and an excited and fun-loving couple! What more could a photog ask for?

Laurie and Jake's Wedding

Laurie and Jake got a rainy rainy day for their wedding, but it dampened nothing! They were married in a sweet little church and the reception was at the Clarion in Hull.

A lovely gesture - her late-father's wedding band.
A bride must be minty fresh for the first kiss!

Laurie just realized that the reason her sister, Amy has her mangled old beloved Lamby to humiliate her during the toast is because Jake stole it and handed it over!
This is the double dutch. Note the two jump-rope swingers at either end. Hilarious!

Molly and Steve

I met Molly through a high school acquaintance who was kind enough to let her cousin (Molly) know that she knew of me. (Wow, say that five times fast!) Molly and Steve came from Palo Alto, CA to celebrate their wedding with family in Boston. It was a lovely wedding and the everybody seemed to have the best time! Including these single gals who fought over the bouquet. So great!

Leah and James' Wedding

When I approached one of my couples months ago and told them that I would be looking for a second shooter to join me at their wedding because (yikes!), I had to have SURGERY on my non-healing broken collar bone, I was really concerned that they might flip-out. Or at the very least, my situation would make them very nervous. I assured them that I would be able to shoot, and that my friend and colleague would be coming as a little extra help should I need it. I couldn't have asked for a nicer couple to start off my foray into wedding photography. They were all that's fine, dude, but how's your shoulder?

Last weekend, I went to Orange, MA for their wedding armed with my gear, a second shooter, lots of Tylenol and weeks of physical therapy behind me. All went well and I felt something I didn't really anticipate feeling; privileged that they chose me to document this historic event in their lives.

The wedding was completely cool; all of the food was locally grown. The flowers were all wild and again, from the area. There was bread baking in an outdoor oven and, brace yourself, a pig on a spit.

Now, it all sounds very backyardish, but it was really a very elegant affair. The bride was beautiful and the clouds finally cleared! Not to mention all of the family and guests were so friendly! A good time all around.

Here are a few...
